FESTIVAL
17th Annual Sydney Multicultural Qurban Eid Festival will be held on Sunday, 13 November 2011 at the Fairfield Showground between 10 am and 5pm.
Our Foundation has been organising this event since 1996 and the festival is well received by the NSW community with over 5,000 people in attendance regularly.
By organising this event, Feza Foundation aims to;
Ø showcase Islamic culture to multicultural Australia,
Ø bring together different religions, races and people from all walks of life,
Ø to encourage an understanding of Islam which focuses on peace, love, harmony, dialogue and sharing
Ø celebrate multicultural diversity.
What’s at the Festival?
Ø 60 market stalls where a variety of products and services are sold
Ø 22 food stalls and 7 food vans where international cuisine is served
Ø A four hour stage program including performances from various ethnic backgrounds
Ø A one hour official stage program mainly addressed to prominent public figures including MP’s and other non-government organisations
Ø Activities for public including rides
Ø An Islamic Art Competition between schools across NSW
Ø A free entry event for children under 12.
The Festival is a unique public event where major muslim businesses come together under one roof and provide all the products required by a muslim household in a joyful atmosphere. Including the Ramadan festival, this only happens twice in Sydney and therefore provides a niche opportunity for sponsors, stall holders, the public and young artists.
Sponsors
Sponsorship is an important way to show support and loyalty towards the Australian society. Our sponsors build trust and recognition with potential customers as the event provides an ideal platform whether their company needs to be firstly introduced to the market, or to build brand awareness, or to find novel ways to differentiate products and services from their competitors.

Stall Holders
Stall holders have the opportunity to interact with people who are eager to learn about their products and services in a highly receptive environment. The event is attended by families who are willing to spend money for making their family happy due to this special time in the Muslim calendar.
Should you wish to hire a stall at the 2011 festival, please fill out the application and stall selection forms below and return by the specified dates:
The Public
It is observed that many muslim families defer their bulk shopping and shop at our festival for their personal needs over the past years. This could be ascribed to several reasons, including product and price comparison with other retailers.
Families with several children also welcomed our “free entry for kids under 12” policy which was introduced in 2008, as they can embrace the Eid ul Adha (or Qurban Bayram) in an economical way at our festival.
The Artists
Open to all NSW school students from year 1 to 12, we launched the first “Islamic Art Competition” in Australia in our 2008 festival. While registrations are taken prior to the festival day, all work are exhibited and awarded during the event as part of the festival.
Artworks can be done in any form including oil paint, acrylic, ceramic, calligraphy, miniature, photography, etc.
While we invite and encourage all scholl children to partake in this meaningful competition, poster including the 2011 competition theme and the application form can be reviewed on the following links:
